Activities
At Interlangues we believe learning takes place inside and outside the classroom. Student activities are an important part of the learning process. Our student monitors work hard to plan fun activities for our students taking into consideration time of year, ages of participants and the importance of introducing them to unique local experiences.
Each Friday our students have an opportunity to get out and mingle with other students, while exploring the city and interacting with the locals.
- City Outings: City tour, Rideau Canal/Ottawa River boat tour, skating on the Rideau Canal and Rink of Dreams, visits to museums, National Art Gallery, Ottawa Art Gallery, Royal Canadian Mint, playing pool, bowling, cycling, scavenger hunts, beach days, Busker Fest, Rib Fest, yoga on Parliament Hill, games in the park and many more!
- On Campus Activities: movies, games, crafts, foosball, multicultural potlucks, pizza party and more!
- Optional Excursions: Omega Park, Sugar Bush, Senators Hockey Game, Ottawa Photo Walk, Hike Gatineau Park, Montebello
Our activity calendar keeps students engaged and exposes them to day-to-day, situational English. Depending on the program you choose, you will have the opportunity to put into practice what you learn in the classroom in a real-life setting. Our on and off-campus activities are varied and combine culture, recreation and socializing.
Note: We are happy to give assistance and information about outings and activities outside our calendar.
